6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Key points:

7. Subscriptions, Trials and Billing

7.1 Subscription Plans

Full access to the Knowledge app is provided via a paid subscription. We offer at least one monthly and one annual plan. Plans, pricing and the benefits included with each plan are displayed on the in-app paywall at the point of purchase and are the authoritative description of what you are buying.

Subscription prices are set in your local currency by your app store (Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web checkout via Stripe). The price you see before you confirm is the price you will be charged; taxes (where applicable) are shown alongside.

7.2 Free Trial

New subscribers are eligible for a free trial of up to 14 days, once per account. The exact trial length is displayed on the paywall and may vary by region or promotion. No charge is made during the trial.

Your trial converts automatically into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. This is a standard auto-renewal. Cancelling during the trial keeps your access until the trial's end date.

7.3 Auto-renewal

All subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise your payment method to be charged at each renewal.

7.4 How to Cancel

Cancellation is handled by the store where you purchased, not by us directly:

After cancellation you keep access until the end of the current paid period. No pro-rata refund is issued for the unused portion unless your local consumer law requires it (see 7.6).

7.5 Price Changes

If we increase the price of your subscription, we will notify you before the new price takes effect. Where required by the app store or by law (e.g. EU/UK consumer rules), we will obtain your explicit consent before charging the increased price; without that consent your subscription will be cancelled at the end of the current billing period instead. Price decreases apply automatically at the next renewal.

7.6 Refunds

Because subscriptions are purchased through Apple, Google, or Stripe, refund requests must generally be made to the relevant store:

We will process refund requests ourselves only where we are the seller of record (web subscriptions) or where your local consumer-protection law (for example the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations' 14-day withdrawal right) requires us to do so.

7.7 Entitlements and Content Access

An active subscription unlocks the full Blue Book database, unlimited learning sessions, route practice, personalised study plans, progress tracking, and all future updates, as described on the paywall at the time you subscribed. We reserve the right to adjust the exact contents of a subscription over time, provided we do not materially reduce the benefits you paid for during your current billing period.

If your subscription lapses (cancellation without renewal, or billing failure unresolved past the grace period), access reverts to read-only: you keep your progress, streaks, and leaderboard standing, but new learning sessions and route practice require an active subscription.

Daily sheets and question counts are part of the paid subscription. Submitting an appearance report is free.

7.8 Promotional and Complimentary Access

We may grant complimentary access (e.g. to staff, testers, or partners). Complimentary access is provided as a goodwill gesture, is not a sale, can be revoked at any time, and does not entitle you to any refund.

7.9 Acceptance

By starting a trial or subscription you confirm you have read and agree to the pricing, trial, auto-renewal, and cancellation terms above.
