Questions about cost
Can I try Pro first?
Yes. New subscribers get 14 days free on the App Store, on the web and on Google Play, where the trial is for UK accounts that have never subscribed. If you are not eligible, for example because you have had a trial before, the store shows the price before you confirm.
Is it on iPhone, Android and the web?
Yes. One account and one subscription work on all three.
How do I cancel?
Any time, in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, or from Manage subscription in the app if you subscribed on the web.
What does the Knowledge itself cost?
TfL's own fees come to about £1,190: the licence application (£138), the grant of the licence (£205), the written exam (£225), appearances (£425), two enhanced DBS checks (£52 each), a year of the DBS Update Service (£16) and a medical from your GP (about £80). Re-sits, a moped and any school are extra. (TfL's fee table, checked on 4 October 2026)
