Grades and points
| Grade | Marks out of 40 | Points |
|---|---|---|
| A | 36 to 40 | 6 |
| B | 32 to 35 | 4 |
| C | 24 to 31 | 3 |
| D | Under 24 | 0 |
How many appearances that takes
Two A grades would get you there, since an A is the most one appearance can earn. Three Bs, or four Cs, would too. TfL says that on average you will need to score at four appearances to move up a stage. Four appearances about 56 days apart come to about seven months at Stage 3.
What 56s ask
Stage 3 asks the major places: big hotels, hospitals, stations, theatres, museums, sports grounds, courts and police stations. Your first appearance follows the Blue Book runs; later ones move the start and finish around within a quarter of a mile. Unlike later stages, you may correct a mistake.
Four D grades on the stage mean starting it again, whatever points you have.
