All London
- About six weeks after your last Stage 5 appearance.
- Five questions on the suburban routes in the back of the Blue Book. TfL's web page says there are 25 routes and its 2022 booklet 27.
- At least one question starts or ends at Heathrow.
- Name every road and every change of direction, ending at the high street or main point of the suburb, or the station shown.
- To pass, all five must be answered satisfactorily.
Suburban
Part one: four questions from a major rank in your sector to a major transport hub, all four satisfactory. Part two: ten central London points from a list you are given at the end of Stage 5, at least six of them satisfactory. You pass both parts, and also need the way to Heathrow and London City Airport.
If you fail
The wait before a re-sit depends on your score and attempts, and may be as little as two weeks. Fail three times, or leave it longer than six months after Stage 5, and your Stage 3 to 5 knowledge is assessed again.
